I HAD to take some more pics when I had to pick up the boys from school a little while ago...
As of 12:15 or so this afternoon - the river just starting to break the bank on our side. You can barely see where. That won't last for long.
This pool of water is covering a cow pasture. The field was completely free of water at 7:15 this morning.
The river on the backside of our neighborhood.
Our mailbox/school bus stop area when we came back from picking up the boys.
Only 30 minutes earlier - this is what it looked like. All under water now.

oh goodness stay safe out there! we've been getting the emergency emails at least every 30 minutes. i'm sure that would be helpful in a power outage :-) well, at least the bullfrogs have gone *somewhere*. i'm not sure where there. two nights ago they were hunkered in the shed. now, nothing. poor little froggies! i hope all is as well as it can be with you, et al. stay safe - and batten down the hatches! it's getting better here - so maybe a stall is coming your way. hugs...ellie
Did you drive through that? Do you guys normally go fishing and stuff in the river? It seems pretty cool to have a river in your backyard, until it starts to flood!
Yes - I hung a left right after the mail boxes. It's the only way home. There are no other roads to our house.
Wow! I wonder if my parents in Gig Harbor are having anything like that. I will have to call. Hope you guys are staying dry and that you have flood insurance! Keep us posted and good luck!
Hey Leah! Yes - we are staying dry. The power didn't go out or anything. :) We do have flood insurance. We are required to have it. Our "altitude" is only 17 feet. lol So far - we just get a bunch of water then it goes away. Sometimes the rats from the neighboring dairies take a swim over here and make nests in our garage too. That's a nasty business getting rid of them. Yuck.
