My most favorite time of the year!

And busiest I think! I have been making scarves for each of my cub scouts and have been selling some on the side. I have also made myself a wool sweater vest that I really like and discovered it goes with just about everything in my closet! :)
This week is going to be crazy to say the least. As my boys wander around the house they create mini hurricanes as they go. They don't have school at all this week due to Thanksgiving break. Who ever heard of such a thing? So...

Tomorrow I have to clean the house so it will hopefully be clean by Wednesday when we go to my most wonderful in-laws house.

Tuesday is the baking day. I need to make enough pies for 20 people for my side of the family for Thanksgiving dinner. I will be doing pumpkin, apple, peach, blackberry or a combination of blackberry, raspberry and blueberry. And whatever else my in-laws want us to bring to chow on the rest of the time we are at their house.

Wednesday morning I have to work for part of the time and pack for going out of town.

Can you say busy?

Do you hear what I hear?

My sister Becky has this summed up really well.
Last night I was sleeping soundly. All of a sudden I wake up hearing little pitter patter feet of a mouse scurrying across the floor in the other room. I wake up Russell. This is 3 a.m. He doesn't hear anything. I try going back to sleep. A few minutes later I hear it again. I wake up Russell again. This goes on for some time. Eventually he gets up and goes to the other room to check on flood conditions on the computer. I figure if he's out in the other room there must not be a mouse in the house. I venture out to see if I can still hear anything.
Nada.
Nothing.
Zip.
We go back to bed. I start to fall asleep and start hearing pitter patters running across the ceiling - the roof side of course.
Did you hear that? How can you not hear that? It was right over our heads!
Am I going crazy here? I certainly feel like it. How come you can't hear these noises? Is this mouse just out to get me?

I probably should mention this isn't the first time this has happened either.
So....
Do you hear what I hear?

A Christmas idea update!

At my dear sister's request - a photo of one of the scarves I am working on! This one is for one of my cub scouts. His favorite colors happen to be brown and green.
I have sold 2 scarves already! :)

A Christmas idea....

I have been working on Christmas scarves for my little cub scouts. That got me to thinking...
yeah I know...a scary thought!
I could make scarves for people for stocking stuffers or gift giving for a reasonable price. It's something that could be used over and over with the blustery winter weather coming up and it could be whatever color choice the recipient likes! If there are any interested people that would like scarves for Christmas - let me know right away!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! :)

I just love this picture! The beach...it's the place to be!

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
