The Mercedes Files - Part 4

We had a great day today (Thursday)! Mercedes, Nephi and Michael helped in the yard for a couple hours and earned some moolah from Uncle Russell/Dad. The kids were excited about that! Then Nephi and Mercedes went to the library for the summer reading program. They got little water fish games that have entertained them for a few hours this evening.

But first....we started our day with pancakes! She actually outate most of the boys!

Later in the afternoon Uncle Russell had promised her he would take all the kids down to the river to play. Today wasn't near as warm as yesterday. It was still pretty muggy though.

I hear laughter.
I hear splashing!

I spy towels and kids having a good time!

Skipping rocks is fun to do...

Skipping rocks is fun to do...
To do to do to do.
The kids spent a long time skipping rocks. Some got really good at it in a short amount of time.
"Don't you dare! Michael boy!" Actually he was just moving around. He wasn't really going to push Nephi into the river.

" Are you cold yet Mercedes?"

Nephi being silly.
The boys.

"Let's have a contest" I say.
"Who can stay in the water the longest?"

Mercedes was the only smart one. The water wasn't exactly warm. Although it wasn't as cold as the ocean yesterday!

Three silly kids! I haven't seen that face on Michael since he was about 2!

Donovan ... "Chris - quit flicking water on my back!"

Our fearless leader! Thanks for taking the kids to the river honey! :)

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
