27 January 2008

We've had a busy weekend. First off - tonight we received news that Gordon B. Hinckley - our beloved prophet passed away. I bet his wife will be glad to see him! I will miss seeing him at General Conferance though. :( Last night - Michael slammed Christopher's left hand in the bedroom door. We thought he broke three of his fingers so he had a trip to the E.R. All is well. Michael was sweating it though cuz I told him if Chris broke his fingers - it would be his (Michael's) fault as he was the boy who slammed the door - the result would be Michael would have to do Chris' chores PLUS his own until Chris could use his hand again. Michael's first reaction was "Well..he can still use his good hand!" hoping that would get him out of extra chores. Needless to say - when Michael got up this morning - he was relieved to see Christopher's fingers were okay.Friday our ward had the annual Chili and Cherry Pie cookoff. I made Black Bean Chili and no cherry pie. I did take pumpkin pie though because I wanted dessert!Friday was also Pack Meeting. Christopher has been working so hard and I am excited for him! He earned the Scientist Webelos Activity Pin, scientist beltloop, communicator beltloop, geography beltloop, languages beltloop, NW History segment and a couple other things I don't recall. He is almost done with Fitness and needs to do Citizen and he will have earned his Webelos badge! We will get it done in February as his Webelos leader is moving. :(

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
