The Mercedes Files - The Final Episode

Boohoohoohoo....
This is the final installment of the Mercedes Files. :(

Our final "Goodnight Mercedes! Don't forget to say your prayers!" Oh - and she has Wilson with her as well.
Watching the boys play a Star Wars game on the Wii. She doesn't look too excited about it though.

Since I didn't get a picture the other day when she helped in the backyard - I thought I better get one today Becky. :) For posterity's sake you know. She really did help in the yard! Today it only lasted for about 2 minutes though. Good thing I had the camera handy....

When the yard was done and so was lunch I hear...."I'm bored Aunt Candace."
Me: "What does your mommy tell you to do when you are bored?"
her: "She tells me to go outside and play." (That sounds so familiar from growing up! lol)
Me: "How about if we paint your fingernails and toenails?"
her: "Okay! I think that will be lots of fun!"
So....I clipped the nails then we painted them. She did a good job sitting still while they dried!
A little while later I heard two cousins building with legos out in the toy room. She didn't know I was there.
Grandpa Lougheed showed up and it was time for her to go. Don't you just LOVE those puppy dog eyes?

How 'bout mine? Is it any better? lol

Her frowny face didn't last long though....

Once she was safely installed in Grandpa Lougheed's car she was all smiles again!

Her little arm waving good-bye. sniff, sniff, (blow nose), sniff sniff, (wipe eyes)...

Goodbye Mercedes! Thanks for a great week! We enjoyed having you and come again! Bring the rest of your family next time and travel safe to Seaside! :)

Awwwwww, Wish she could have stayed longer! Very very sad puppy eyes from both of you, on the other hand I'm looking forward to having her back this time next week. Thanks for taking care of her!

I just love this picture! The beach...it's the place to be!

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
