Michael's second grade class makes Leprechaun traps every year. He has a teacher that likes the kids doing hands on - using their imaginations. The kids design the traps - have mom or dad help them assemble the traps, they decorate it and then present it to the class. Explaining what the leprechaun is supposed to do and how the traps work. This is what Michael came up with - with help from Russell.

You can't see inside very well but there is a pile of gold colored rocks with yarn tied around one of them. The leprechaun tries to "steal" that rock and springs the trap and then Michael has caught a leprechaun!

Michael used all the old sparkly bracelets I had to decorate the outside. I must say.....he is a very creative child. Not that I'm biased or anything like that.
Now - you go make your own leprechaun trap and see if you get lucky!
