9 July 2008 A hot, sunny day on the coast!

Can you believe it? The temperature thing outside says it's 75 degrees! There is a very nice breeze blowing and these boys took it upon themselves to improvise their own slip-n-slide with a tarp and the hose. Works very efficiently I might add! They also decided they needed to clean out the little kiddie pool they haven't used in a very long time. Hey - whatever works man. Just as long as I don't hear any fighting, punching, kicking, biting or yelling at each other. Because MY boys wouldn't do that to each other. Would they?

Christopher, Michael and Nephi having fun. I will post pictures of cub scouts later tonight. We are having a hot dog roast at the beach. Mmmmmm. Nothing like a burnt hot dog with some ketchup. I like them. Especially with the crunchy black parts. I can hardly wait! If I am really lucky I will have some sand on the side too.

I prefer the hard black part of a hamburger that's fallen into the fire. Seriously. I'm not joking. I love the flavour. Then again, I love burnt bacon and burnt toast. You can keep the side of sand, though. The boys looked like they've been having a good time so far this week. Good job on the makeshift slip-'n-slide. My neighbour kids tried to make one - but their dad intervened to show them how it's really done. That might explain why the youngest hit his head on the side of the pool. Some things are just better left to young minds.

Brookings is pretty far south so I imagine it got pretty toasty! :)

I just love this picture! The beach...it's the place to be!

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
