My Country 'tis of Thee....Sweet Land of Liberty...To Thee I Sing....I love the Fourth of July and what it stands for. I love the fact that Russell is in the military and proudly serves our country so we can enjoy the freedoms we do. I love that I live in the United States of America. It truly is a land of opportunity.
We thought it would be fun to go to the beach today. Well - it was a good thought. Not a very good experience though. It was cold, wet and oh so windy! The ocean was a nice color of grayish/black.

The look on Russell's face in the last picture says it all. You just *know* he wants to get someplace warm and non-windy. Well, despite the less-than-seasonable weather, I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!!! And I also hope you don't have the heat running in your house like I do. (What's the date today? July 4th? Sure. Doesn't everyone in the lower 48 run their heating systems on July 4th?) - ellie
Actually we don't have the heater on. We did see fireplaces going while down at the beach though! Russell was probably wishing he was in front of one of them! lol It's just a very muggy day here. Hope your fourth is a good one too! :)
Oh my gosh!! I hate it that I'm so behind in reading and keeping up with my friends. Happy Birthday Candace...I'm such a bad friend. I'm going to have to put your birthday in my computer to remember forever!!! It comes so close to the end of day camp, you'd think I'd remember.
Hugs and love,
Sharon
Hey don't feel bad. :) Glad to see you have resurfaced from camp to join the myriads of people (okay - just me) online wanting to know why you haven't updated your blog! lol
Looks like a typical beach 4th. We have a joke here that the first day of summer is actually July 5th. :)
