I love denim. Especially old denim jeans/overalls the kids/Russell/me have outgrown/displaced the knees, etc. I have been saving them since the boys were little. I didn't realize it I was such a packrat until I found all these tiny pockets. :) I am so glad I saved them though - I guess this could be called a memory quilt. I think of all the "remember whens" when I see certain overall pockets. The material I got from my mother-in-law. I cut various colors (mostly reds and blues) into 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2 , 3 and 4 inch squares with pinking shears. I sewed them on the non-pocket squares for color. Russell loves this quilt. He can't have it. I don't want to share. It will be warm. The quilt itself probably weighs close to 5 lbs. I have a hard time lifting and maneuvering it. Yep - it will be warm alright.

Awesome quilts Candace! How do you find time to do it?
Candace that is so cool! LOVE the pocket thing--GREAT idea!
Hey Kim,
I work on it when all my other stuff is done. Mostly when the boys are having their turns on the computer. Or outside playing. Or when they are sleeping. :) There is always time around here. They aren't little anymore and can self entertain.
Hi Carrie!
Glad to see you have returned to the world of technology after all that camping! lol I love the pockets too. They actually hold stuff too! :)
OMG - that is so fabulous!!!!! It's a quilt. It's art. It's years of memories all put together with needle and thread. You're so talented!
