After James and Stacy's wedding - we went with Grandma and Grandpa Dysart, Uncle Joe, Nathaniel, Raphael and Elijah to Eagle Fern Park for a picnic. The weather here was perfect. It was about 10 degrees cooler than in town - which was right around 95 degrees in Estacada.

We found a picnic table right by the creek so the boys immediately took off their socks and shoes so they could get in the water.

The water felt so good. The only downside was the algae on the rocks. The rocks were really slippery because of it.

Somehow the algae doesn't deter some boys from exploring though. They are off to the middle of the creek. There is a huge pile of rocks to climb around on.

Exploring another part of the creek.

Hmmm. What should we do next?

Then Grandma and Grandpa showed up. We got there before them. Here is Christopher with Grandpa's dog "Bubba" and Grandma Dysart.

Here is Grandma's dog "Sweetie" with Russell. She was getting nice and cool in the water.

Lost in his own little world.

My brother Joe is trying to get my nephew Elijah to sit in the water. It wasn't deep. It was a little cold though.

"Bubba", Grandma Dysart, Michael and Nathaniel.

My nephew Nathaniel climbing around the rocks in the middle of the creek.

My nephew Raphael with the broken arm. No - the ghostbusters had nothing to do with it.

Grandpa Dysart cooking some hot dogs.

Joe talked Elijah into sitting down. Let's see what happens....

They have a captive audience courtesy of Nephi and Michael.

See you later boys! Elijah was calling out for Joe to wait.

While they floated down the creek we sat down to eat.

I wanted to get pictures of Grandpa and Grandma with the grandkids but the boys were off playing. We have my dad Doug, my brother Joe (the floater) and my mom Sheri.

Our family. L-R is Michael, Nephi, Candace, Russell, Christopher and Donovan.
