Visitng Ft. Stevens with the Dysart side of the family.

Yesterday after lunch at Grandpa and Grandma Zaugg's campsite - we headed up the road a bit to see my Dysart relatives I haven't seen in 22 years. Not since Grandpa Dysart died. All of Aunt Kathy's family had rented a really cool beach house. We stayed there for a couple hours visiting then headed over to the beach where the Peter Iredale shipwreck is. There were so many people. The weather was beautiful considering it was raining earlier that day.

Nephi and Michael at the beach with the instructions to not go above their rolled pants in the water.

Michael standing on one of the metal pieces from the shipwreck.

Cousin Natalie with her daughter Rosalind.

Aunt Kathy and Cousin Natalie.

Cousin Melanie and Cousin Jeremy.

Cousin Ernie with his girlfriend.

Natalie and I.

Cousin Melanie visiting with B.C.'s wife Tawnee. We didn't see B.C. or Aunt Kathy's husband. They were on their way back to the beach from Portland and we left before they arrived.

Cousin Melanie building a sand fort with her son "NieNie" and Natalie's daughter Roz.

Wet fish number 1.
And wet fish number 2. So much for going only to just below where your pants are rolled up! They were wet from head to toe. I was disappointed as this prevented us from visiting further with my side of the family. The boys didn't have extra clothes to put on. Just a couple sweatshirts in the car. So they had to strip down and cover up with the sweatshirts on the ride home. It was my fault they didn't bring extra. I told them no swimming trunks since it was cold at our house - I figured it would be cold 1 1/2 hours to the north too. It wasn't.

Bella, Kylie and Zane digging in the sand.

You take a picture of me taking a picture of you.

Building sand forts is a group effort.

Ocean soccer.

Zane had a good time picking on his Uncle Brian. This would be the second time he was dragged to the water for...
Pacific Ocean torture. :)

Brian and Natalie Holt.
Nephi sure had fun playing with his cousin Harrison. He's Natalie's boy.

Brennan Holt with his grandma - my Aunt Kathy.

A couple of cold sleepy boys. They ended up covering up with a couple warm sweatshirts from the car. We stopped at Burger King in Tillamook on the way home for dinner. They opted for a quick shower before eating. Smart boys.

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
