Fourth of July - slip slidin away....

We bought a slip'n'slide to take to Grandpa and Grandma Zaugg's house. It had two sides for racing.
Michael and Nephi were having fun.
Grandpa and Russell decided to bring out the big guns. Grandpa had black garden tarp that was about 30 or so feet long. Russell scooted the slip-n-slide to the bottom of the little hill. Nephi was a little perplexed at first I think.

Donovan and Christopher took advantage of the sliding break in Grandpa's hammock.

The slide is complete! There were two hoses going so there would be plenty of water to slide on.

Quick - get the sunglasses! Here comes Russell! :)

And now Lauren - Wendy's husband. The big boys had just as much fun as the kids.

I had a lot of fun watching the boys take off in just a few second intervals. They would all land in a heap at the bottom of the hill.

Here comes Aunt Wendy on her knees. I think this was after she bruised her tailbone. :(

Wendy and Lauren getting ready to slide. Wendy used a garbage bag to help her slide a bit better.
On her tummy!

Uncle Lauren thinks plowing into boys is fun to do.

Plowing into your wife is fun to do to. Right Lauren?
We all went to watch fireworks up at the church parking lot. Nobody thought to bring their cameras. Probably it was just as well. You can only produce so much light with darkness setting in. The fireworks were fun. More so for the boys. I think they are fireworks deprived. Most years we are asleep before they ever go off.

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
