Off to Boy Scout Camp we go...

Russell, Donovan and Christopher are off to boy scout camp until the 25th. The house is quiet again - like when everyone is at school.

(think tune to Bob the Builder...)
"Will it fit?"
"Yes it can!"
I caught Russell packing. Apparently Donovan and Christopher were much faster about it. lol

Will he get it on?

Yes he will!

Trying it on to see if any kinks needed working out. I guess they will be hiking in. I suggested after a little bit that they do a backpack trade off. Kind of like the chinese fire drill at a stop light. Russell thought that was funny. Chris didn't think it was funny at all.

Christopher is all ready to go.

So is Donovan.

Russell is officially ready to go to. I slipped in a little note when he was all done packing. He can't open it until Wednesday. It's a little anniversary card. I feel bummed he won't be home. Just a little. But he will be having some big boy bonding time with the two older boys. They need it.
Our family campers.

Getting situated in the van. Yes - they took the VAN! gasp. My black pearl is missing. :(

Going....

Going....

Gone.
See you in 8 days!

So, you think Russell took both sets of keys? Mel does that sometimes, but usually I am with him.

Where did you get those great hiking backpacks? I need to get one for Zackary.

He has his own set of keys and so do I. I am thinking while fishing out my van keys while in the van - that the other car keys fell out. I don't keep them on the same key ring. I have my van key. Which is good because it has the house key on it.

As for the backpacks - the one for Chris and Russell I got last winter when our ward did a super swap. I am really glad I snagged them.

I just love this picture! The beach...it's the place to be!

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
