A visit to the Tillamook County Fair

We've lived in Tillamook for 3 years now. This is the first year we've gone to the county fair. It was a lot of fun - we saw quite a few people we knew - and the kids all had a great time. Thanks for treating us Grandpa and Grandma!
Right in the center is Nathaniel - my nephew in the bumper cars.
Michael is on the same ride wearing orange.
Nephi is a lot disappointed he can't go on any ride.
This is the first time Nephi ever had cotton candy. Does he lead a deprived life or what?

Christopher eating his cotton candy.
This is also Michael's first time having cotton candy. He really likes it too!
Nathaniel opted for a drink instead. Hi Nate!
Hi Mom!
Hi Dad!
Michael, Candace and Nephi.
Corn dogs and french fries and soda pop make a good dinner on rare occasions. At the fair is one of those times. Those fries were so thick and tasty.
Eating corn dogs is fun to do! (Nephi did get the royalty treatment from some of those game side show people. On the house games. That partly got him the turtle he is holding. I forked over some funds and so did Grandpa to get this prize.) Boy those people are sneaky. Now I remember why I avoid them at all costs.
This and the next three pictures are from the magician's show. Raphael my nephew got to go up and be a "helper" with the double guillotine.

Hop on in Raphie. It won't hurt a bit. Really.
Oh no! He's still alive! Just kidding.

looks like everyone had a marvy time - and it doesn't look like nephi was too deprived by not being able to go on the ride. i'll bet he got a lot of attention. and he did get a goat-level view of the goat. what a wonderful way to start the weekend (which is supposed to be rainy). now you've got me craving cotton candy though. thanks a lot. grumble :-)

I just love this picture! The beach...it's the place to be!

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
