What do YOU do on a rainy August day?

Well....
If you are Donovan...
You meet your Scoutmaster at 6 a.m. for a 25 mile bike hike. Even in the rain. At least it is warm outside!
Here they come! (Donovan is wearing the blue on the left)
Hi Donovan!
There they go....

Ellie - it was warm. I would have loved to go on a bike hike except for the fact that I haven't ridden a bike since I was 14! When I was 9, 10 and 11 I used to do the Cystic Fibrosis bike-a-thons when we lived in Neah Bay, WA. I had a little pink schwinn bike the first two years. I want to say the most miles I rode was 90. It was a lot. I rode from the start of the race until I had to quit. I didn't stop to eat, take drinks, use the restroom. I was very determined. I don't think my sponsors were too happy with the money they then had to fork over. :)

I just love this picture! The beach...it's the place to be!

I think this was in 2004. It was Nephi's first trip to the beach. The boys were all so little! My have they grown.

Meet the Parents...Russell and Candace
It all started for us when Russell left for Cape Town South Africa on a mission. Candace felt inspired to write him - so she did! We wrote for 3 1/2 years. Candace came home from her mission to the Texas Houston East Mission and we dated for 5 months. We married in July 1994 and have been happy ever after!
